Killer Cake Frosting

1 1/2 -1 2/3 c. crisco
4 c. powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. clear vanilla
1 tsp. almond (can be liberal)
1/4 c. milk
optional lemon juice to taste, adds a yummy zing!
yeilds: a lot

use that good ol' kitchen aide and mix it all together.

perfect for piping and layering.

will not be smooth like fondant, but using a icing spatula wet with warm water, it smooths nicely.

add cocoa powder and nix the lemon juice for chocolate icing.

This is the frosting I used on Emalee's wedding cake I made 2 summers ago.
